In this video will be diagnosing an EVAP system leak on a Jeep Wrangler. p0442 small evap leak, P0445 indicates that there is improper purge flow, EVAP System – Small Leak. One of the most common trouble codes with the Jeep Wrangler is the P0456 code. This trouble code references a number that is given to you when you plug your Wrangler into a OBDII scanner. P0456 Indicates that there is a small leak in the evaporative emission control system.

I have been working on my sister’s Wrangler for the last week trying to figure out what is wrong with the darn thing. I did not even think to check the EVAP system until I read this! I recently bought a Jeep and I will be honest, I know only the bare basics when it comes to cars. My father was a chef and no one in my family had a great interest in cars. I have been trying to find out what was wrong with the jeep since the end of November. Because of the holiday season, I am tight on cash so I didn’t want to take it in unless I absolutely had to. I did the test like you show in the video and sure enough, I have myself a leak! Good news though, my brother’s roommate knows how to fix the issue and will be doing it for me this weekend.
