This Chrysler 200 had an airbag light on what code was stored for both the passenger and the driver’s seat airbag. Or what I would actually be called is the driver squib circuit active and passenger squib circuit active. Able to access the connectors under the driver’s and the passenger seat to check to make sure there was a good connection there. And both the driver’s and passenger-side seat airbags seem to be connected well. But both seats had debris underneath them which may have caused the wires to get tugged on setting Vault airbag codes. After unplugging and replugging in connectors clearing codes and removing all debris from underneath the seat airbag light stay off.
1. Check the connector under the right front seat. There are two wires, one is Violet/Light Blue and the other is Grey/Light Green.
2. If the connector is OK, short the wires together and clear the codes. If a shorted code now sets, the wires are good between the module and that connector.
3. The connector at the airbag could be shorted, so see if the shorted code is still set. That proves the wires are good from the module to the airbag connector. The right seat airbag then needs to be replaced.
